Strange clicking noise by Battery 850

when I came home today I heard a strange buzzing noise from the engine compartment. Even if the car is not running but the key is in position # 1
there is a strange buzzing and sometimes clicking coming from in front of the battery. There is a large connecter right next to the drivers side headlights and the noise is coming from there. If I disconnect it the noise stops.
Does anybody know what this is, I do not even know what that connector is for.

    Is the connector brown in color? If so, it's the headlight wiper motor. Make sure the wiper motor arm is not stuck under the stop lug.
