sport springs S40 2000 S40-V40 2000

I was thinking about having a set of sport springs put on my S40. Question, will this void my factory warranty in anyway. And has anyone done this, and if so has it made a difference in the handling, a feel.

thanks

Bret

    sport springs S40 2000 S40-V40 2000

Before installing IPD/TME springs on my S40 I contacted Volvo NA and my dealer. The dealer wouldn't do the job, and Volvo said they don't reccomend the install since it is not a Genuine Volvo part, but it does not void the warranty. Of course, they won't pay up if the spring fails or if the install cuts a brake line.
I had a good local shop do the work that myself and friends have used for such work. Align the car after they're in. BTW, there is no front camber - only the rears are adjustable.
The car looks and rides great - much closer to the personality I had anticipated. The drop is about 1.5 inches after settling in for a week or so.
Get them! S40s are still not common, and personalized ones are indeed rare!!

if u change only ur springs and not ur shocks
and ur shocks blow then volvo will not cover the damage
this will happen since ur stock shocks are so soft
otherwise lowering is one of the best performance mods i did on my s40.
it turns so much smoother and feels stuck to the road.
        NICE
