Well, take my word that it is the most UN-Volvolike color and it looks hideous!

I am Yasser ! Need a reliable vehicle for Ramallah....
just kidding....I can purchase an amethyst 850 from a coleague in another city and am wondering how it looks. I can take his word that the car is in great shape, but have never seen the color....sounds a bit scary..."Amethyst"...

It's not one of Volvos better colors BUT it's not as bad as their old "flesh" colored early 80s 240s either ;)

If the car's decent and the price is right, why not ask the seller to send you a pic? Most people should be able to at least borrow a digital camera if they don't already own one and e-mail you a pic, no big deal. Otherwise have a regular poloroid pic sent snail mail.
