I want to tint my 98 S70 volvo. I got a price quote for $235. Is this a good price? Do you think 35% all around is too dark? Anything else I should be careful of?

I've got 20%. Done professionally it was $245 and for four years, it's looked great.

If you're in Dallas, I'd get at least 25% or less. My sis lives there and has 15% on her Bimmer. Cars get hot as hell there and the tinting really can help block some heat and save some UV damage on the interior.

Check all your windows from inside the car before taking it back.

The shop that tinted my windows cracked the inside of my rear window.

Would you believe that the rear window of a '90 Turbo sedan lists for over $1200?

BTW - the tinting has been on since May of '97 and still looks good. I got legal tint for Massachusetts.

I went with a 20% tint on my white V70 wagon. Personally, I don't think 35% is that dark either.

35% is not too dark IMHO as I have had that on most of my cars. $150-200 is price range for 4-door sedan tinting in Dallas. Beware that metallic tint will adversely affect radar/LIDAR detector performance if you use one.

I got about a 15% done for around $140 on my S70.

Be careful of where you live cause like I think 30% is the max you can do legally, if you go for more than that make sure u gotz a doctor's note so that you can convince the police dude that you need the tints.

IMHO, 35% is WAY too lights, you need limo tint which is around 20%
