I'm going to exchange my SC-816+money for a SC-901 unit.

I don't want to pay the hundreds of dollars for the volvo amps.
Does anyone know how to install an aftermarket multichan amp to the SC-901, or at least have a wire diagram?

I know it's a tough subject, few have done it.
I have been looking around forever trying to find someone who has done it.

If anything, a wire diagram would help.

As long as you're in there, can you do me a favor and ask how much it would be to exchange a working SC-900 for a SC-901? I've called all my dealers around here and no one seems to understand what I'm asking about.

Is there an amp connected to your head unit?

Im not sure if you have to have an amp or not for the SC-901. I've gotten mixed answers.

Yeah, I have an amp. The SC-900 and SC-901 have NO internal amplification and DO both require external amplification....

I have a part number for my amp, but have no idea what power rating it is. It mounts under the passenger seat, which, from what i understand, is quite odd as mouse mount in the center console in the driver footwell area. Not sure. The Amp and head unit were pulled from an early model -98 S70 T5 w/ factory "Dolby Surround" Option for about a grand. (I decided not to pull the center channel from that car)
