SQUEEKY: LOWER,FRONT,INSIDE A-FRAME BUSHING V70-XC70 1998

Hey Guyz: So tonight I heard the first "Honey can U Listen to this Noise on my Car" since da Wife Unit got her(last Sat) first Volvo (used '98 XC w/ 73K miles)...turns out to be one of the inner A-Arm bushings...I put my finger on it while she pushes down on the fender...not only can I clearly hear it but also feel it....CAN These be lubricated or do I have to replace it? There's also a slight squeek as you turn the Steering wheel....sounds like it's where the column meets the wheel itself....any thoughts on the squeely wheel? Perhaps I should do a brute force lube attack with WD;-0
By all accounts this is a well cared for and maintained rig...One of Wife Unit's Friends bought it new and we accquired it private sale..GREAT Looing Vee-hicle with all systems Go.

Very uncommon for A-frame bushings to squeak, unless the mounting bolt is loose. Check it out. I think you will find your steering column squeek is a dry rubber dust boot at the base of the column, at the firewall. Pry the boot back and shove some grease in between the column and boot.
