What would make a perfect car company?

Imagine a car company that:

A) Is committed to building safety.

B) Builds great handling cars with lots of power.

C) Has cars with lots of character and they look good.

D) Is so committed to the greatest service. Will do anything to satisfy the customer.

E) Stands behind their product.

Is this why you bought a Volvo? What do you think makes a perfect car company?

    Doesn't exist....

.......... car companies, like ALL other companies are all run by real people in a real world have one real and very major large issue..........MONEY! That's why (in part) that nothing is ever perfect in our real world. Some companies are simply better than others and before bashing Volvo too hard, take a good look around at the other guys.

The sole purpose of any company is to make a profit.

        A good car company:

Quality of build: combine Rolls Royce and Aston Martin
        Parts availability: add GM
Price of Parts: Your local auto parts store
Service quality: add Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Mercedes, and BMW, Volvo, Audi
Selection of vehicles: add GM, Toyota, and Honda
        Price of vehicles: Add Saturn
Durability: Ford trucks, BMW, Volvo, Mercedes
Warranty: BMW, Volvo, ? (fill in with your choice)

        Qualities to leave out:

Expensive to repair: Rolls Royce, BMW, Mercedes, Aston Martin
Hard to find decent tires for: Any company
Expensive to purchase: See expensive to repair
Cheap in quality: Hyundai, Kia, Most American born companies (they don't have the quality standards that foreign companies do ...Honda, Toyota)

I think that a combination of companies would work best, but that may never happen.

It all comes down to money. Whoever has the most, gets to choose.

You think SATURNs are priced...right? You sure about that? Especially when you consider that in order to buy a new Saturn, you must pay a whopping...17% mark-up (!!!) for a mediocre car...

          but...

Times have changed as well. Going back to Volvo, they use to be a little car company that once made a few cars for a small market so they then wanted to make a better product. They've grown over the years and now, especially being that Ford owns them, have begun to have all the problems of the other larger car companies.
I still think they make a few decent cars (no, not all models) but they aren't what they use to be and never will be again.
One has to decide what car they want and weigh out the pros and cons of each but I highly doubt that "the perfect car company" in the eyes of most car owners today exists.
