rough ride and rattles S80 1999

Is any one out there having problems with a really rough ride and rattles?

I have a S80T with 52,000 miles on it and I just replaced the upper motor mount on it-it was completely gone. I have also had a rattle (s) ever since the car was new and have replaced shocks and other items that the dealer thought was causing the problem. The problem is still there!
I cann't help think that this is a result of the rough ride that I am getting is just affecting everything in the car.

My next door neighbor has an 870 with similar problems. About every 8,000 miles, he is replacing rubber bushings because they are wearing out. Also, he says that every time he hits a bump he looks in the rear-view
mirror to see if any thing has fallen of the car. This was his first and last Volvo.

Unfortunately after 4 Volvo's ( the 240 being my favorite) this is also my last.

If i could receive any kind of feed back, I would appreciate it.

Thanks Al

I have 43,500 miles on my S80 T6 2000. Same problem. Very rough ride lots of front end noise. I'm very displeased with this car and will not buy another Volvo. Have not gone back to dealer yet to try to solve noise/rattle but will do so shortly.

Went back with problem. Uplink bars replaced - for 2nd time. Had this done before at about 20,000 miles. "Common problem". Why should a problem like this be "common" in a $45k car?

I would question if you have ever (even) driven a Volvo S80!
