205/55/16 tires on 850T?

I currently have 205/50R/16 tires on my '96 850T but want to bump up to the 205/55R/16's for a better ride. The Tirerack lists the 55R's as an option, but what is the consensus from this forum...wil 55R's rub or not? Searching the archives only turns up inconsistent answers. Thanks.

Also, anyone recommend a good all-season touring tire? I'm looking for comfort, not high performance (too many tickets and court dates).

    205/55/16 tires on 850T?

I am running Yokahama Avid, 205/55/16 on my 96 850T without problems. I concider them a good ride. They do rub a little if I cramp the wheel to the max but I don't do that often enough to be a problem.

    205/55/16 tires on 850T?

see the pictures on volvospeed? thats how my wheelwells look like. i used to run on 55's. i swithced to 50's precisely because of the rubbing. if you have an 850, it will. i heard that it doesnt on a 70. no problems on the rear...its the fronts that really rub. if you can avoid tight turns for the lifetime of the tires, then it might not, but if you do every now and then, then it'll get ugly real fast
    regards
