Spark Plugs (I know..again????) 850

What plugs should I us ein my 96 854 n/a? The owner's manual says Bosch FR6DC, but the plugs the dealership put in just before I bought the car are the Volvo 3 prong plugs. Help! I feel like an idiot.

    I use bosch 4+ and no problems after 20K miles

    I always used NGK glow plugs on all my turbos and I'm very satisfied.

    fr6dc are the copper plugs for the turbos. you have the right plugs for your n/a

      FR 6 DC is the plug for the turbo? My manual says Champion RC7GYC for the turbo and FR 6 DC non turbo. Newvolvoparts.com and many others list FR 7 DC as the plug for the 854 non turbo. My local dealer said he does not know if the OEM plugs are 3 pronged or not....he was not too much help.

        The OEM Plug with three Ground electrodes is the most effective one for N/A engine. It is made in France for Volvo. Believe me , I have tried them all.

          Hi ya,

          Firstly the three-prong are of Champion origins and were brought in to fix the startup problems encounter on multi-valve engines. I personally use the four prong Bosch Super4 series and have been satisfied with.

          uk 850glt 2l 20v 173k miles,k+n,Volvo Strut brace, Slots, Xenon Bulbs,t5r bumper.
