if you're in no mood to remove it, make sure you use an o2 sensor friendly cleaner or else .............
i always remove mine....just to be on the safe side.

There's no reason to even consider doing it at all UNLESS it's sticking and that might be caused if you have/had a bad flame trap as oil mist might then accumulate around the throttle plate.
If you really want to clean it anyway, carb spray on a rag will remove any deposits (still bolted to intake manifold). Don't bother removing it as you might have done previously with older 200s/700s as FWDs aren't having the same problems with it.
