Windshield fluid Squirter not squirting......... :(

It has never worked before, but I've never thought to fix it. everytime I hit the switch, the windshield wipers go, the squirter's motor is heared, but, no fluid. Could it be clogged?

OOPS! Sorry about the first blank.

First, try using a needle or pin to clear the nozzle.
If that doesn't work, open the hood and disconnect the hose from the nozzle. Operate the system, and see if you get water from the hose. Sometimes there is a one-way antidrainback valve on the line, and these can go bad.

Likely either clogged or empty.

You can check for clog in T-connector (common and most likely problem) by following hose backards from nozzles. You'll have to remove one of the plastic fasteners that hold the insulation on the hood. Disconnect the hose coming from the washer pump and test. If water squirts all over you need a new connector - Volvo dealers keep in stock or I've seen on IPDUSA.COM.

if u wax car urself, could be some of it got into the nozzles. get a staple and bend it straight and see if the nozzle is clogged, make sure u don't scratch the hood. if it's not, is the fluid low? if not, could be the lines are a little messed. and finally, if not, could be bad pump/motor.
