Reviving Faded Molding 850

As our Volvo's age, the molding tends to fade from it's beautiful black to more of an "oxidized" gray color. Typical products like Armor-all are not what I'm looking for, but something more professional that will give an original black look.

I have found several products that will, when applied, give your faded rubber molding a new, black look. I don't want to order a $7-10 bottle over the internet, when it might be available locally (Austin, Texas)... Anybody have any idea what stores might have something like that...

Or if it becomes necessary, what are the opinions of those that have worked with these solutions.

Thanks,

Shawn

Reviving Faded Molding 850 1996

Shawn,

This past weekend I just got around to using the Forever Black that I bought from IPD a while back. The immediate result is impressive. Someone else has a posting on here somewhere claiming that he had used it more than a year ago (maybe three?) and that it is still holding up. The only thing that I noticed that I will be more careful of next time is that uneven application shows up somewhat. Good luck.

Ron

Reviving Faded Molding 850

Shawn - I like Maguire's product the best, it's also reasonably priced. I have tried several products and I hate them all. Actually, I do not plan on using them again.

I have a teal 95 wagon and I've painted the trim and bumper covers beige. I plan on painting the trom on my maroon sedan black or silver.

I've been told that the paint won't hold, but the beige has been on for 3 months now without incident.

I hate cleaning the trim!
