power steering leak passenger side

hi guys i drive a 1999 volvo s70 with 100k non turbo and i acquired a power steering leak on the passenger side right front and its everywhere i notice i had a broken rack boot can that cause my leak because its massive or can the high pressure line cause this as well fluid everywhere even under the car and tbelt cover help

Sounds like the line (hose) if it’s leaking on the timing belt cover and everywhere else. Follow the line and clean it well to see if you can locate the leak. Check where it connects to the reservoir too. I once looked at a 2003 V70 that was for sale and the line was cracked behind the reservoir.

If you can’t find a leak on the line, then thoroughly clean the boot and the area where the inner tie rod enters the rack. The boot should only leak fluid if the nearby seal inside the rack itself is leaking (a somewhat common old Volvo problem - BTW).

hi it turns out i had a leak from the seal under the cam sprocket all fix with a new seal
