sagging drivers door

i drive a 98 volvo v70 229k drivers door is starting to sag how do i fix sagging door what i mean is you move door up and down and does not open and close properly

I was going to tell you to buy some washers and shim it up. But here is another way:

If you need to remove the door, disconnect the electrics. Disconnect the T40 on the door stay. Then loosen the two small E screws at the hinges and lift the door up. I use a 5 gallon bucket to support the door - really heavy.

Check for loose hinge bolts, if the pivots are worn, the worn portion needs to be drilled out and a bushing installed.

See if a dealer can do the job for how much?

a good indie or a good welding shop can probably do the job.

Disconnect any wiring to the door before you give the car to a welding shop.
