XC70 Hard to start cold - Odds not fuel pump or filter -

My 05 XC70 with about 175k on it has just started to show signs of a hard cold start. Warm engine fine. Live in New England so not sure if temp drop have amplified the issue as of late.

Fuel pump and filter were replaced back in Sep 2020. OEM
Fuel pressure sensor was replaced back in July 2020. OEM
Length of start time seems to be getting worse. Will check battery after overnight sit.
If regulator, any way to test?
Or where else should I be looking?
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
James

Look at the easy stuff first.

Engine oil should be 0 or 5W30.
Spark plugs clean and gapped to .028
    Battery at rest, 12.4V
Voltage at idle should be 14.5V or so.

      Hey Kraus - Happy Holidays.
      Oil good
      New plugs just 15k ago
Just had the battery tested at Napa - bench test said it was fine. Plenty of CCA.
Have brought it home and hooked it up to charger - showed 95%. Will charge to top off battery and test voltage idle.

If it’s the alternative - any way to identify if it’s a 140 or 160 amp?

Will keep the post and you posted.
      Thx again.
      Jk

        Update on Voltage readout:
Battery at rest 12.5 (of course that was with a battery top off charge)
Battery with car running at idle - 14.67-14.70 fluctuating
Battery under load - High beams and HVAC blow at full - 14.41-14.5

        Next area to look?
Fuel Pressure Regulator? Not sure if that would only be a cold start issue.
        Other areas to look at?

        Jk

Dirty MAF? Dirty throttle body? Dirty throttle position sensor?
