C70 convertible headliner C70 2007

The rear headliner panel in my daughter's C70 has fallen again. I've glued it back up maybe 3 times in two years with Gorilla Glue and two types of JB Weld. With the top half retracted, glue the pads, clamp and leave overnight. Nothing lasts more than a few months, especially in Memphis summer heat. This time it came loose on the front AND rear edges.

I had the car at work today and when leaving found that the front panel rear edge also fell! Drove home with it on my head.

What is a permanent fix? I'm about to drill holes through the roof and pop rivet the darn things in place.

Did you try the Plastic Weld epoxy version from JB Weld? That seemed to get the most recommendations. I re-glued my headliner last month and hope it works in the Texas heat.

I've tried several JB weld and other adhesive products. Nothing stands up to the heat here. Final solution was to get rid of the mounting parts that the adhesive fails to grip and use trunk liner buttons with the push-in button. They pass through the headliner and snap into the metal roof. Not the cleanest solution but it works.
