On my 2016 when I turn off the ESC system it mentions something about going into sport mode. Is there anyway to turn off the ESC system permanently and only turn it on when I want it? The way it is currently set-up is the opposite, each time I have to turn it off manually.

"Sport mode has been activated.
Please note that ESC is not deactivated at this time but its functionality is reduced."

Going into sport mode and turning ESC off can be a lot of fun, but that is not normal driving. It is supposed to turn off after you restart the engine. Imagine having a younger driver taking the car out in the rain/snow, not realizing that ESC is off! Or your wife coming back from the grocery store and trying to merge into 70 mph traffic? I am visualizing broken gallon milk cartons in the trunk :)

Ha! That's a funny picture in my mind.

She would be surprised but she is actually the speed demon of the house. I went into slower mode years ago.
