My 2011 is going back to my used car dealer after a hesitation problem during acceleration.With no check engine light on I know it’s hard to diagnose but a mass air flow made no difference.
Got a 2nd opionion from my Mechanic who has the Volvo software and the problem


Tcm torque converter clutch solenoid circuit
Any advice on repair....hopefully the used car dealer will fix

Adding fixes/updates to the TCM is a dealer thing. The 'new' tranny will automatically 'learn' your driving habits. Both codes should be gone immediately.

Klaus is correct-tcm not needed to be updated
The mechanic had the front end aligned and replaced a serpentine belt since it was so accessible

Used tranny being installed this week with 67k.
Will the codes have to be reset after install and before driven.
I believe the fluid should be Toyota?

Unless you are rolling at a low rpm and give it full gas, the torque converter isn't going to cause a hesitation. The TCM might be looking for a downshift anteing to figure out which gear?

More than likely it is a fuel/air delivery problem.

I have a 2007 that had a hesitation problem that was resolved by replacing the fuel pressure sensor.
