Idle rough and surging S80 2005

I am having some very rough idle and a surging idle that goes away at higher speeds. Code 2178 Rich Idle at bank 1 is up and not going away. I new MAF sensor and O2 sensor improved the situation but it is still present and threatening to stall the car in traffic. The next step is the removal and cleaning of the electronic throttle body. Anyone ever removed it, cleaned it and put it back in successfully or not successfully ?

Cleaning the throttle body would also be my first choice. But remember to inspect the vacuum lines and elbows, they are 12-3 years old and can crack!

Ah yes. vacuum hoses (real small elbow etc) messed with 850's. Where are they /where to look on '06's?

I'm new to 04-06, but from what I've read the ETM would have been the place to start. It doesn't get cleaned in place. Bolts hard to reach, and different locations of plug connectors w/ different years. New gasket required. I'll be doing mine when weather is better (no symptoms yet). And will also be watching this thread to see what others say. G-luck
