2002 XC70 Vibration with Right Front Wheel or CV Axle V70-XC70

Three years ago I had both front CV Axles replaced with factory rebuild CV axles. After this work the right side had a vibration in accelerating so it was replaced with another rebuild axle. This didn't help so I had new (Michelin) tires installed and wheels moved. The vibration continued and this week after 45,000 miles I had NEW CV axles installed with new tires and still have the vibration. This all started three years ago and I cannot understand after all the checks/front end inspections/ alignments / parts changes/ tires / what caused this problem to start with the initial CV axle changes.. Thanks jim 2002 XC70 230,000

2002 XC70 Vibration with Right Front Wheel or CV Axle V70-XC70

Usually vibrations like that are attributed to the center support bearing of the prop shaft.

Keeping it running is better than buying new

A new bearing came with the new axle but that is a good thing to check because the mount could have been damaged in the beginning. Thanks for your help... Also several years ago I sold my 2007 xc70 to my neighbor and bought a 2010 xc70 which I never liked, to big, slow and fancy. Sold the 2010 and now looking for another 2007 xc70 to keep for ever... Best xc70! It's about time to retire this 2002 model. Again thanks. jim b
