I did the brake job! Thanks to you! V70-XC70 1999

Hello All,

A few weeks ago I posted a query on how to replace the rear brakes on my ’99 XC. I have two ’96 85- wagons, and know “cold” how to replace the rear brakes on those cars. But I hadn’t done the XC in a couple of years, and knew the rear brake set up was different. I asked if anyone knew of a good “How to” source to find out how to replace them. Well you all chipped in, in particular Klaus and pointed me in the right direction in terms of finding guidance in how to replace the rear brakes.

Well, I just finish replacing the brakes (front & rear pads and rotors - bleed the brake fluid) this past weekend with success. No parts left over, everything works and now I have a nice firm brake pedal.

So again, let me express my thanks to all who responded to my query.

See you on “Campus”!

Hugh

P.S You saved me a fortune in paying to have this work done.
