My angle gear is shot. Can I remove and turn the car into a front wheel drive?

Is it a big job to do this?

I wonder how shot it is. Can it recover with new fresh gear fluid? I sucked mine out and when replaced, the torque increase was really exceptional.

It should be simple enough to remove the prop shaft. The only question is what to do with the Haldex unit besides disconnecting the electrical or pulling the fuse.

The prop shaft is quite heavy.

Mark the shaft with paint, just in case you or someone else wants to reinstall it later. No need to be out of balance.

Remember, 4 jack stands! If the bevel gear unit is shot, best to look around for another one.
