Any experience with 2008+ XC70's? V70-XC70

Hate to move on from my terrific 95 855, but work requires I get something newer. Anyone have any knowledge of the new body style XC70's? Consumer Reports gives the 2008 and the 2010-11's good reliabilty reports. I have only driven my friends 2011 XC T6. Very fast! Surprisely good economy too. I got 24 mpg on a trip to N.J. Don't know what they get in town. Also considering a Mazda CX-9 of the same era. Thoughts?

I have a 2012 XC70 T6 and so far love it. A couple of years ago we were looking at 04-07 VC70s and just didn't love them, bought something else.
More recently started looking at the P3 cars and were really impressed right off.
The T6 engine went through several improvements for 2011, so your friend's car has the good engine. The dash boards went through a few changes also.
Options on these cars vary widely, watch for those you like in ads carefully. Our car has the Premium upgraded sound and it is amazing. We found a car with almost every option, including HID headlights which was surprisingly hard to find.
Of course, maintenance and condition are paramount and harder to find, but good luck, and hold out for a car with documentation and good past care.

The T6 engine is great, but do you have any knowledge of the NA engine?

What kind of gas mileage do you get?

Any problem areas to look for?

Thx for the feedback!
