SRS light will not go off 850 93

I recently removed my positve from its battery terminal so I could

attach the Amplifier power cable and two days later my SRS light came on and I have tried to check if I could clear it since I have the computer

terminal in my engine compartment (not OBD II) and on the error code on the SRS pin gave me a 2-3-2 error reading and I cleared it but as soon as I start the car the SRS light just comes on again.I tried this three times

and I get the 1-1-1 clear reading but SRS light pops back up again .I hope you nice guys can help me fix this without goin to the dealership.

I thank you in advance

Pull the left b post trim panel and check the left seatbelt conector. Try unplugging and re plug and then reset the code. If it still won't clear, you may need a seatbelt or wiring repair.

I have the exact same problem. Something's gone wrong with your driver's side seat belt tensioner system, which activates along with your airbag when you get stopped by inanimate objects (as opposed to stopping on your own). The tensioner holds you in your seat so you don't go slamming forward into the windshield from the force of the impact.

Bottom line, you're either going to have to go to your local dealer or to an indie place that knows how to work on the SRS system, and get either the seat belt tensioner or the wiring around it replaced. I think it's about a $400 job, at least, that's what I got quoted.

      hey malcolm

thanx for the input.I appreciate it.

anyway Bob who is also on this thread posted

a solution that worked for me.

You should try it here it is :

Pull the left b post trim panel and check the left seatbelt conector. Try unplugging and re plug and then reset the code. If it still won't clear, you may need a seatbelt or wiring repair.

      the code:

(if you got the terminal in the engine compartment instead of OBDII)

turn ignition to position 2 and then plug connecter into B5 and press button on A connector for one second and that gives you error codes.press again until it repeats the first error code again .then press and hold for 7 seconds and as soon as the light comes on press and hold for another 7 seconds while the light is on. release and then press for one second .this should give code 1-1-1 which means all clear.Switch car off and then start.

the SRS light should not show up .best of luck

      Jay-P
