Installed Foglights... but they will not work :-( V70-XC70

1998 V70 ...

Anyone have any suggestions here?

I pulled a set of fog lights, relays and switch for the local PNP.

I've installed everything this morning, but they will not come on.

I even checked fuse 17 and it was installed and not broken.

Am I missing something here???

I've spent all this time and now they will not come on.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

The standard relay only allows the fogs to come on when the headlights are switched on and in low beam. Having DRLs on does not count.

UPDATE!!! Installed Foglights... but they will not work :-( V70-XC70

      KlausC,

I did some more research and it appears that I'm missing one more relay listed here:

      "Headlight Control" Relay (@#A104/E108 double)#9148880

Any idea where this one goes??? Under the dash as well I assume.

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks,

      Matt

That's an expensive relay. Read the following for an 850 which has the same wiring:

There is a second thread by "boxpin" that you should also look at. It is blue.

          KlausC,

          Thanks again man!

I now know where to look for the relay that I am missing. Gonna open up my wife's car tonight to verify, then its off to the PNP to get it.

          Thanks for the post.

          Matt

tried all that already, still no lights.

Is there supposed to be any indicator on the dashboard when you turn them on like for the rear fog lights?

I guess it's time to break out the volt meter and see what's NOT working.
