Flashing arrow/check engine 850 96

Around Thanksgiving, I got the flashing tranmission arrow and check enging light and was told by the dealer that this was due to a broken gear position sensor. Today, I noticed the flashing arrow. Checking the gear selector, I saw it was slightly out of the "D" detent (?irrelevant) and slid it back in. The arrow stayed on and the check engine light came on moments later.

Gear position sensor again? If so, should there be an explicit or implied warranty on the last one?

Thanks.

Eric W.

Re: Flashing arrow/check engine 850 96

To shut off your check engine light because of not having the lever in the proper position sometimes can be shut off by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. You must know your radio code because you only have 3 chances to enter it or you will have to wait about 2 hours before it can be entered again.
