Fuel Pressure Sensor / MAP Sensor / Barometric Pressure Sensor V70-XC70 2003

I'm getting a CEL for code P0194 "Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Ckt Intermittant"

I called Volvo Customer Care as I saw where there was a recall issued several years ago (#181). I gave the lady my VIN and she said it showed as having been replaced back in 2004 which would have been the previous owner. The dealer name that she said replaced it made sense as it would have been the closest dealer to the PO. The recall only demands one replacement, so I started looking online for a replacement part. Here is where it starts to get interesting...

The original Volvo part number is supposedly either 8699448 or 30756098 - supposed to be interchangeable. Most suppliers show that these two numbers cross reference to Bosch 0261230109. HOWEVER, for this Bosch P/N, some suppliers describe it as a Fuel Pressure Sensor and some describe it as a MAP Sensor. One of them, somebody's ebay store, describes it as "Volvo Fuel Pressure Sensor - BOSCH - 0261230109 - NEW OEM Barometric Temperature". Amazon calls it "Bosch OEM Fuel Pressure Sensor # 0261230109 - Volvo #: 30756098 / 30650014 / 8658536 - Barometric / Temp Sensor - NEW" (Now there's a gizmo that sounds like it does just about every thing except serve me lunch.)

Does anyone if there is some variation in terminology that's known to surround this part?

Chris, How many miles on the 2003 when the problem started??? My wife has a 2003, but only a 100K on it.
When you spoke to them about the recall, did it sound like there was a time frame it needed to be accomplished.

She asked me how many miles were on the car. I said "About 150,000." It was my understanding that it wasn't the miles that disqualified me, but it was the fact that the sensor had already been replaced once under the recall - back in 2004. Apparently if it fails a second time, Volvo is NOT on the hook.

Autohauz does have the look of a reliable parts source. However, being the cheapskate that I am, I'm just wondering if the suppliers that sell the correct P/N (but a different description) for $35ish are actually selling what I really need.
