Rear Spoiler V70-XC70 99

Your experience please. I have seen other station wagons with a wind deflector on the back that is supposed to reduce the rate of dust or spray gathering on the rear window. Does the Volvo Wagon Spoiler do that, or is it only ornamental?

Thanks.

    Re: Rear Spoiler 850 97

Mine ia a wagon without spoiler, like you I research all over the web for wind deflector and spoiler. My understanding is, they work differently.

Although some site claim the spoiler will help in cleaning, but most owners say no, or very minaml. Spoiler is just for look, or function at about +100 km/hr. Worse is, I could not find any wind deflector for Volvo wagon. If you find one, don't forget to e-amil me (in Canada).

I've had two 98 V70 t5's in the last five months, one without the spoiler and one with the spoiler. I think the back window and bumper area stays cleaner with the spoiler.

I've got a rear spoiler on my V70 ... it just looks damn good. I think it does squat for the spray or dust or whateveryoucallit.

I'll have to toss my hat in with JT. Looks 5, cleanliness 0. That's why the smart engineer types threw in the rear wiper.
