compatible seats S70 1998

Have a 98 s70 with manual seats Driver side pretty beat up. Volvo leather has a lot to be desired.

Been looking to replace and found a 2000 that is has electronic seats. Are they interchangeable.

If not what are my options. Example can a 98 electronic seat be used in a car that has a manual. Did volvo include all the wiring and the electronic is just an upgrade?

Madness

Before you do the final install, take a good look at the height of the seat.

With the 850 seats that I got, there was provision to move the front or back of the seat down 3" by loosening 4 bolts.

In my PV 544 that was a Godsend as the seat was too high for the PV's raised seat rails.

I put 850 seats in my PV 544.

In that case, all the circuitry is in the seat, all I needed was a 12 volt source and a ground.

I did not mess with the seat heater.

I believe the harness under the dash is there. Probably no fuse or relay in their respective boxes. If you get the seats, and they will fit, get the wiring from the seat to the dash that is under the carpet or door sill.

Someone put S60 electric/heated seats from an S60 into a 122. Of course, he had to add a fuse or two and some wires...
