Ok, so now the three year/36000 mile warranty has expired and the beast tells me that I ought to change the oil. I can do that, but how can I make the dashboard shut up? The manual says "take your ATM card to the dealer". I say "I don't think so."

Klaus? Anyone? Advise me please.

Thanks. I'll try it. Just seems to make too much sense that "they" wouldn't change it every six months or so. Perhaps I like Volvos after all.

Side note. Just spent a long weekend with a VW CrossFox, and I do like Volvos.
