V70 passenger window stuck V70-XC70 2004

The front passenger window on Mary's V70 went down a little, tilited and stopped. Looking inside the door, the rear arm of the regulator had popped out of the blue plastic slider. The retaining clip went missing because the top ears that hold the clip had sheared off.

Is a bad slider the problem or a symptom ?

Thanks

Greg

In another post on sweedspeed, someone suggested removing the large black rectange above the speaker to gain access to the forward plastic clip???

To recalibrate the window, read all of this:

IT's the blue plastic clip that needs to be replaced. I saw a fix for that, somewhere, prehaps on volvoxc.com or some other site that has easy picture access.

No pics, but a good write up farther down. The S60's have the same problem.

Taking the door panel off is fairly simple, two torx screws under the door handle and push pins around the edges. The black cover for the front of the window pops straight off, then the panel lifts up and away. Watch the wire connectors.
