1997 Volvo 850 blower motor won't shut off 850 1997

Blower wouldn't turn off even after car was off and the key was out of the ignition. Battery eventually went dead and now I'm having trouble getting the car to jump start...I can't get the car on at all now. Before this mishap with the blower motor, the car was running fine. Should I try replacing the battery for starters?

After further review, you have a short to the frame that is causing the blower to run. That same short is also causing the car to not start even jumped. It is not your battery, which can be recharged so long it is not hooked up.

Where to look for your short, I can't tell from here.

Pull the fuses for the blower motor first and then try jumping it. Only buy a new battery if the old one will not charge. Check the red connectons at the battery for corrosion.

As to the blower motor not turning off, try doing a search.
