Dash cover question 850 1996

Hi folks. I am thinking about buying a cover to protect my dash, but when I went to order one I was told to choose between a dash that has temperature (climate) sensors and one that doesn't. What sensors? I don't see any on my dash (I have a 96 850 Turbo), but am I missing something? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Re: Dash cover question 850 1996

Cars with electronic climate control have a solar sensor on the top of the dash in the center. It also doubles as an alarm indicator LED. If you have ECC or alarm or both, you have the sensor. Otherwise, you will have a flat plastic cover about 3/4" square covering the sensor hole. Of the two dash pads available, 1 will have a cutout for the sensor/LED, one will not.
