help! intake manifold repair

pulling the intake manifold from my '94 850 non-t. how inthe heck do you loosen the lower bolt thats behind/below the thermostat housing? Can you get to if from above? i can't even see the thing

    Hmmmm, you mean the lower manifold bolt? I think I had a 6" extension on my 3/8 ratchet. I might even had the extra 2" extension added to that. Just loosen the lower bolts, do not take them off.

    Don't forget the manifold bracket bolt next to the oil dipstick bolt, also a 12mm.
