I had a 96 850R 143,000 miles black and tan. It had the Volans on it. Last night i was cut in front of and I T- boned her. The Volvo is done. My question is the insurance what is the amount people are getting for them when the insurance company says it's totaled. Oh and before I finish I want to say thanks to KlausC for all of your help in fixing my R. And soon to come a 96 R sedan to be parted out

Another fine car bites the dust.

Check Autotrader, Cars.com, and any other online site. Find out what a replacement 96 R is going for. Get all of you receipts in a folder, along with prints of ads you found online (across the country, not just local). If you have your original sales receipt, that will help.

Appraisers are not bad guys, just let him know you are a Volvo nut. He just might understand.
