I've got a donor 99 v70 manual transmission and am searching for the right V70 to drop it into. From what I can tell this is a big project but doable with an automatic V70 (turbo or not). Is it an option in a V70XC? I've never heard of this . . . haven't found one to crawl under just yet but knowing where things are, it seems like a possibility, and a reasonable thing for Volvo to have designed for.

    The tranny for an AWD is different, it contains the drive for the bevel gear box. If you go to FWD, then it is not a problem, just throw away the bevel gear and prop shaft.
