OBD II Diagnostic Code Scanner V70-XC70

What diagnostic code scanner do you use and would you buy it again? I couldn't find any recent threads in the archives but could have missed them. Does anyone have experience with the Foxwell NT 300 Diagnostic Scan Tool sold by IPD? Thank you!

I have this (or something very, very similar) which I can just hook up to the laptop and it reads everything I need it to.. It being only $15 was the biggest selling point.

If you're not driving it "like its stolen," are you really driving?

I have an ACTRON CP9180.
It does a pretty good job with my "00 V70, and my GMC. I got it from Amazon for about $100.

OBD II Diagnostic Code Scanner V70-XC70

Hello, I bought a "first generation" ScanGuage, years ago, on the recommendation of the people at IPD. ScanGuageII is the current model and IPD sells them still. There are differences/improvements. People have mentioned so few code readers on all these Volvo boards. It has surprised me. I've seen units from Innova and Launch fail to connect with my 2002 V70. I suggest buying locally or through a reputable "mail order" company so you can return any unit which fails to connect with your car. Sounds funny I know. The ScanGuage failed only one task in the years I've owned it; and that was failing to turn out the CEL on a 1999 Jeep Cherokee after correctly reading the code. It has worked on V70s and S60s, Saab 9-5s, Subaru Forester, Dodge Neons, a big Chevy truck, the Jeep, a neighbor's Lincoln, an older Pontiac-pulled 3 codes from that one.
Big, air filled yellow units don't impress me; neither do fake "dynonometers" which require you to pick a tire size and select an inaccurate engine size. They're just toys. Kira
