2003 V70 purchase V70-XC70 2003

We're finally going to trade up from a 99 to an 03. The car is a dream to drive, no noises, creaks, can't feel any bumps, engine is quiet and smooth, etc.
I know the drill; service records, timing belt, etc.

But I just wanted to check to see if these trannies had issues. If I recall correctly, the 03 transmission was pretty much OK.
And besides the fluid, timing belt, records..what else should I look for?

This car drives like its brand new, and looks it too!

The tranny uses 3309 fluid and needs to be flushed. The Tbelt is at 105K along with tensioner and roller - some replace the water pump but I find that it is not a required item until 200K so long as the antifreeze is flushed every 4 years or so.

Get some good leather conditioner and keep the seats soft, in the spring and fall. Ask about the cabin filter and which type of system you have, normal or HEPA.

Tranny fluid is good. took it on a long drive today, everything seems okay. it makes a hiss from the engine. not from the brake booster however. needs tires, and we aren't sure if the timing belt has been done yet. so if I do go through, I'll throw tires and have the volvo shop inspect/replace the belt
