Unknown vacuum line? V70-XC70 1999

I have an unknown vacuum line coming off the air box of my '99 na V70. Actually, the connecting nipple broke and the line has fallen off. There is a milky white line that is intact, but the shiny black line next to it has fallen off the air box and doesn't connect to anything on the other end. Does anyone know where this line is supposed to go? I'm not getting any codes. Thanks.

There may be a vacuum line diagram glued to the underside of your car's hood.

mine is an early 1998 NA V70. It has a white, and a black line. The white runs from the lower nipple on the air box(side nearest ignition coil) to the vacuum tree on the engine. The black runs from the nipple above the white line on the air box to the front, lower-radiator side of the air box (follow cold air inlet pipe to were it joins the air box). The black controls the hot/cold air inlet diverter on the air box.

Vacuum lines change position from year to year and depends on model. My 1998 has a vacuum line from the same place - the elbow connects to a white hard plastic line, about 6-8 inches long, which then connects to a 'normal' black vacuum line that wraps around the engine to the passenger side and connects to the fuel pressure regulator. The black vacuum line is between the engine and firewall.
