Don't remember replacing OX sensors, maybe 70k miles ago. 850 1995

I had volvo do the 30K tune-up , but did subsequent spark plug and rotor changes myself. Should I have them replace the OX while they are replacing the muffler?

5 speed, and an early '95 purchase in Dec 94.

Unless you're flush with cash don't have them do this. Its as easy to change these as spark plugs, maybe easier.. You'll also save on parts if you get it as FCP as opposed to the dealer.

Now don't preemptively change the O2 sensor, wait till it fails, you'll get a code.

No. The O2 sensors are in the down pipe and just on the backside of the CAT.

If the O2 sensors are original and the down pipe needs to be replaced, that is the time to repl the O2 sensor - front only?

Not unless you have a diagnostic code related specifically to one of the ox sensors.
