defroster/floor vent servo 850 1997

I found hte servo for the defrost going through the glove box but where is the servo for the floor vent flap? I can hear the motor run but the flap doesn't move.

There are 5 motors, 3 on the passenger side and 2 on the driver side.

What is probably happening in your case is the connecting rod to the motor is broken. It is plastic sheathing that cracks and looses friction on the rod. Best bet is to glue and wire the plastic tightly to the rod.

Remember, never run the motor when it is disconnected from the shaft. Gravity helps keep the damper closed(?) so try to make the vent selector mimic where the damper is now, so that it is in the correct position when you put the motor back in.

I had to play with my 850, and it is not a fun job.

Where is the servo located for the floor vent? Does the dash have to come out? The only one i see is behind the glove box for the defroster.

Look to your left while staring at the glove box. There are 2 additional motors, one for the dash vent and one for the floor vent.
