Loud squeaks coming from front pass side 850

My 1994 850 (recently new to my family) with 179,000 miles, has been making some loud squeaks in the front passenger side when going over any curbing, uneven surface, etc where the car flex's a bit. The sound seems like it is associated with the suspension but the funny thing is when the car is cold (50 degree mornings) the squeak is pronounced. When the air temp is warmer, it is a small annoyance and nothing I'd normally become concerned with in an older car like this. I have another 850 (95) that hasn't had this issue and that car has 163,000 miles on the original suspension. The car in question had the suspension (struts, end links, strut seats, etc) done about 70,000 miles ago with Bilstein HD's all around. If it makes a difference, car is a manual and has just had a motor mount replaced.

Like I said, I can't seem to isolate the sound so if anyone has ideas on where to start looking that is a great help. Sounds like a trip to the shop but I'd like to have some idea of what I'm dealing with.

Thanks Folks

If the spring seat is dying, get a large wrench and try turning the top nut on the shock tower clockwise. If it is easy to turn and does not spring back, the spring seat needs to be replaced. I would replace it with an XC90 seat, same size and much beefier.

If you DIY, remember that an alignment will need to be done after the strut has been put back on.

Jack up the car by the jacking point on the side and check your
    ball joint/control arm for slop.

My guess is maybe the top spring seat is trash. Especially if they
used Scan Tech parts there. It might make nasty sounds over tiny potholes.

The Previous owner of my 850 had recently replaced the drivers side
spring seat with FCP and it was already starting to tear the steel bushing
out of the rubber. Next time I'll use OEM spring seats.

Check your sway bar links and sway bar mount bushings

Your new suspension parts are no longer new.

Loud squeaks - motor mount? 850

My 95 with 170k has a similar noise. Hard to isolate, noticable on bumps etc., might just be an old car noise.

I'm thinking it could be that front passenger motor mount as mentioned.

Did you have it diagnosed yet?

Anyone know if this is an easy DIY job? What would a shop charge for something like this?

    Thanks for any feedback!

Replacing the front motor mount is not too difficult, but you need a jack stand as well as a hydraulic floor jack to hold the engine up a little.

Which mount was replaced? There's one on the passenger side under the front of the engine near the vibration dampener that could be bad.
