SRS S40-V40 2005

I need to remove the carpet from my daughter's S40. Any SRS problems with unplugging the seats for removal?
Thanks

Just do not put the key in the ignition while the seats are unplugged.

Use regular carpet shampoo and copious amounts of water for rinsing. Let dry completely before you put them back in.

Thanks, Klaus. Had a leaking sunroof drain, dealer wanted $1150 to fix and dry carpet. (I paid them to repair the electronics damaged by the water). Now that I've got it apart, I'm starting to see why they wanted so much. Good thing I like doing this stuff!

That foam stuff under the carpet will hold water for ages. I used an inch of newspaper on each side to help soak up the water. Sunday paper is great, just not the glossy advertisement sections.

If its sunny, put the front seats back in, park it in the sun for a couple of days.
