Looking for definitions for the following codes. These were taken at Autozone, whiles the car was in limp mode related to ETS problems.
P1043, P1052, P0130 (O2 sensor, i think) P1017, P1019, P1020, P1021

Car: 1999 V70, NA Auto 163K Miles
Symptoms: ETS light, rough idle, no power, If I shut the car off, it starts immediately, revs to about 4000rpm, drops to 1200, climbs to 2500, drops to 1200 and stays there. Sometimes the orange UP arrow flashes, sometimes not. If I shut the car off for a few minutes, it starts and behaves normally, but the ETS light remains on. Have replaced throttle body with xemodex unit, twice,in the last week. THEY ARE GREAT FOLKS, and we are working on the problem, but thought this group could help with these codes.
I have cleaned the connections with electronic circuit cleaner to: the accelerator pedal, the MAF sensor, the brake sensor, and the throttle body. All fuses look good.
DWVolvo Franklin TN is a 45 minute drive, and I know that they will probably have to do a scan on this car. I just want to try everything I can do in my driveway first.

Hello all. Just got the 99 s-70 back from Volvo. Replaced ETM with one of my used ones and the ETM relay. Volvo at first said they could not reprogram my used one. I talked with the owner and they agreed to reprogram my used part from my 2000 V-70 AWD. It worked great. Dealer wanted over 1400.00 to fix. It cured all the engine code and the engine is smooth again. Just thought I would follow up after repair. Thanks.

I tried to get them from the Snap-on guy today, no luck, everything but Volvo. I ordered a gas pedal with tps, will try that. Throttle control has been tested on another car and it worked fine. Just happen to have a 99 v-70 in for test mule. Tested the O2 sensor and the heater was not working, but sensor was slow. I will replace both tomorrow AM and post back. Hopefully with good news.

Thanks Klaus but that site had no definitions for the Volvo codes, or the generic codes.
