I have a '98 V70 R AWD w/ 143K that has moderate front end damage. I was hit while it was parked. I was able to drive it about 15mph due to the alignment being so knocked out. I am confident the drivetrain is good.
It's been sitting for two years now....There's good surface rust on the brake system but the rear rotors and e-brake asm are brand new, and can most likely be used.
It's the standard silver color, I can provide pics soon. I had body work done on the passenger side front & rear door as I "bumped" a few of the retaining posts while driving it. The paint job is good, but not fantastic. The doors can certainly pass as looking non-damaged.
That's the deal with it. I'm keeping the wheels, as they are already on my '72 142s.
The rest is up for grabs.
The interior is about a 9 out of 10 given the mileage. It has the split Leather/Suede upholstery and all electronics in the front seats worked when parked, and I have no reason to think they don't work now. The seats are intact w/ SIPS undeployed. I would like to sell the interior (front, rear seats) as a set, but I'll break it up.
I have the rubber waffle style floor mats that go under the cloth "R" floor rugs.
Everything in the interior is great except the shifter knob---front button broke, but mechanism still works.
The steering wheel is worn, but the airbag is undeployed.
I know all the engine electricals (baro, amm, cpu's, relays, etc) are good. The ABS/TRACS module needs the solder repair to be done to work consistently.
All glass is good, rear taillights are great w/ the exception of a tiny chip out of the overhanging lense portion of the rear drivers upper assembly, but it's not chipped to where it seals, so nothing ever got into the assembly--I know because it was that way when i got the car.
Engine ran like a top, turbo was perfect. I can't tell you what the pressure was running on the system but I've owned enough turbo volvos to know when the turbo is good or not.
I know what the parts can cost, and I'm not looking to be greedy (esp. on the interior----I know to just re-upholster the seats is upwards of $600.)
I will help pull parts, but won't do it all by myself, because I just don't want to. The price will reflect this fact.
Email me your requests, but don't ask a ton of questions. I will not ship heavy parts, but am willing to drive 100mi to meet and/or deliver--I have a diesel VW rabbit pickup. I will provide pictures but may not get them to you super fast as the car is 15mi from where I live.
I'm taking offers on the parts. No BS, I don't have the time. Local people take priority, so the closer you are the better.
I will not sell the car as a whole. Sorry.
I have posted in the V70 forum as I feel the classifieds layout is clunky and just not that great. No offense....as the Brickboard is the best thing since Volvos.
