ignition woes V70-XC70

1998 V70, 182K......

Wife's key is "stuck" in the ignition port, literally...for awhile now at times you had to simply "jiggle" the shift button when car is in in Park to get the key out.....this happened some 3-4 months ago, but it fixed itself...

Any solutions or cheap fixes, besides a new ignition set-up????

If the key will not go to pos 0, to get the key out, it is not the fault of the lock.
Try pushing the button on the console as you shift to park.

But, your real problem is probably the button on top of the shifter not releasing completely. You could try a little WD40 under the button and see if that frees it up. The buttons are replaceable, as is the entire shifter.
