Can't turn off alarm V70-XC70

I have a 2004 XC70, and the car alarm (horn, lights) started going off intermittently last night. 24 hours later and it's still doing it. I replaced the alarm fuse to no effect, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

Check your remote and make sure the red button isn't stuck. Then open the hood and slam it shut, same with the tailgate and all 4 doors. If you park inside, can you leave it unlocked? Pulling the alarm fuse should have disabled it.

Pull the negative cable off the battery, go around and press the brake pedal, and then reconnect it. This will reset it (and everything else) - make sure you have your radio code!

Okay, two more questions. How do I get the radio code, and how do you re-enter it? What else gets reset? Thanks for the help.

Radio code SHOULD be in your service manual somewhere, OR call a dealer & give them your serial number. You just enter it with the numbers on the radio when it says CODE.

The engine has to "re-learn" its idle and shift points.

I wonder if the 2004 still has a radio code? The new cars do not.
