Ticking sound from passenger dashboard V70-XC70

Hi,

I have a 2004 V70. When I'm either accelerating or decelerating, I get a ticking sound coming from somewhere within the dash on the passenger side that lasts several seconds. Today I tried driving at a constant speed and turning the fan on and off. That seemed to make the ticking sound happen. The blower works fine so I'm not sure if it's a solenoid trying to engage or what the problem is all about. Anyone experience the same thing? Thanks.

Ticking sound from passenger dashboard V70-XC70

    Hi,

I have 2001 V70 T5 - right hand drive. I hear similar sound from time to time at the passenger side(left). I thought that something is rolling in the glove box. But is not.
Anyway I pretend that I don't hear it. You can always turn the radio on :-)

    Volvo - guaranteed adventure.

    Regards Stilian

A '95 850 is likely a different beast, but I've experienced a faint clicking sound due to the HVAC fan. Only happens when turning right (or maybe it's left...). I rarely notice it. Could be the same thing?
