possible cv joint? 850

i just strted to notice an audible repetitive knocking type sound coming fron the right front end. It only sounds when coasting, as soon as you give a little gas or turn the wheel the noise goes away. I checked the cv boot but it's intact. ANy ideas?

Worn CV-joints are usually given away by exhibiting clicking noises while applying power and turning at the same time. Lower the window, cut the wheel left or right and take off and you'll hear it if they are worn.

More likely you're hearing a noise in the suspension, perhaps a worn strut mount or swaybar end link.

I would highly suspect the endlinks. Stock ones go bad frequently. I put the heavy duty ones from IPD on several years ago and no more problems.
